Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information MySEO ("we", "us", or "the Service") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. MySEO is an SEO analytics tool for business owners. This is placeholder legal copy and should be reviewed by your own legal counsel before you rely on it.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information so that we can operate the Service and show you your search performance:

  • Account information. Your name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), and the plan you are on.
  • Project and site data. The websites, keywords, and competitors you choose to track inside the Service.
  • Billing information. Handled by our third-party payment processor. We store only a customer reference, the plan, and billing status, never full card numbers.
  • Usage and device data. Log records such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps, used for security and to improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service and its reports.
  • Process your subscription and send you billing and account notices.
  • Send you your scheduled email reports and important service messages.
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security issues.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Google Account Data, Search Console, and Analytics

When you connect your Google account, you grant MySEO permission to read data from Google services such as Google Search Console and Google Analytics on your behalf. We access this data only to display your search performance, clicks, impressions, and site metrics inside your dashboard and reports.

MySEO's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We request read-only access where possible, use the data only to provide user-facing features, and never transfer or use Google user data for advertising.

You can disconnect your Google account at any time from your account settings, and you may revoke MySEO's access directly through your Google security settings. Revoking access stops future data collection from Google.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.

5. Third-Party Data Providers

To produce keyword, ranking, backlink, and traffic estimates, we rely on trusted third-party data providers and infrastructure vendors, including SEO data suppliers, cloud hosting providers, our email delivery service, and our payment processor. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their part of the Service and are bound by their own privacy and security commitments.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we retain your data for a limited wind-down period so you can reactivate, after which it is deleted or anonymized. We may retain certain records longer where required for legal, tax, or security reasons.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. You may also close your account at any time, which begins the deletion process described above.

8. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, contact us at privacy@myseo.example. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
