The way it works for members

You have three options for turning your unused points into cash.

View and sign your contract

If you have a reservation that you are unable to use and there is still time to cancel without incurring fees, one option you might consider is renting it out to another family. To accomplish this, select the option to create a new listing from your profile page. Your offer will be visible to tenants on our Listings page if you select “Existing Reservation” as the listing type. Wait until a renter makes an offer before accepting it. When you receive an offer, we’ll send you an email. You have a brief window of opportunity to answer with one of three possibilities:

Accept the offer
Rebuff it with a different price.

The steps for seeing and electronically signing your contract will be sent to you if you agree to the terms. Note that the renter’s money will go to DVC Rental Club.

We will provide the member access to the money on the day of check-in.

If the reservation is more than seven months away, kindly confirm that you are the correct Home Resort owner. You can accept a suitable request after you’ve found one and then continue to prepare the vacation for the worried family.

Addressing the Tenant

React to the renter before the allotted time of one hour has gone.Let them know if you were able to accommodate their request or what you can book, as well as the price per point you are willing to take.The timeframe on the claim might expire, or you can inform the renter that you were unable to arrange a reservation or give an appropriate one.

You will receive instructions if you agree to the terms. Please note that the renter will submit their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

When it’s check-in day, we will release the funds to the member. This ensures a smooth transfer of funds.

Transfer of points

We will provide the member access to the money on the day of check-in.

Transfer centers

You can transfer part or all of your existing use-year points to another member, which is a practical option. To get started, go to your profile page and select “Create a listing.” Select the option to transfer points after that, then enter the number of points you want to send somewhere. Interested members can submit their bids once your listing has been filled up with the necessary information.

Consider your offer

When you receive an offer, we’ll send you an email. Options available to you are

Take up the offer.
Offer a different price as a counteroffer.
Rejecting the Offer: This will bring the process to a conclusion.

If the conditions are acceptable to you, you will be given information on how to see and electronically sign your contract. It is essential to remember that the receiving member will pay the DVC Rental Club.

Points transfer

The points will be transferred appropriately after receipt of confirmation of money.
