How the process work for renters

1. SELECT THE TYPE OF RESERVATION YOU WANT TO MAKE: Select from our choices, including existing Reservations, where you can purchase a reservation through an existing member and benefit from potential price reductions.

2. SUBMIT YOUR OFFER: If you can find an existing booking that is suitable for your needs, submit your offer, and the member will respond within 24 hours. Be prepared for a fast and efficient negotiation process!

3. WAIT FOR THE MEMBER TO RESPOND: We’ll keep you updated throughout the process as the participant responds to your questions, so you’re informed and make informed decisions.

4. VIEW AND SIGN YOUR AGREEMENT: Once both parties have agreed on the terms, you’ll receive clear instructions to view and electronically sign your agreement. It’s a simple and safe process that will bring your one step closer your dream vacation.

5. MAKE YOUR PAYMENT: Once you’ve signed the agreement electronically after which you’ll be directed on the page for payment. Choose the method of payment you prefer and submit your payment with ease. You can book your dream holiday now officially reserved!

6. DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS: On the day of check-in We take care of paying the member. It’s a seamless process that ensures each party is protected throughout the rental process.

How it works for members

We have three ways to turn your unused points into money

View and sign your agreement

Rent your current Reservation to another family. If you have time to cancel without penalty This could be a viable alternative. On your profile page click make a new listing. Then select Existing Reservation. Your listing will populate our Listings page for prospective renters to make you an offer.

Wait for a renter to make you an offer

We will email when you have been offered a deal. You have a certain amount of time to answer with one of three choices:

Take the deal.
Counter the offer with an alternative price.
Declining The Offer This will end that process.

Check out and sign your agreement

If you decide to accept the terms, you will receive instructions to view and e-sign your agreement. It is important to note that the renter will make their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

Disbursement of funds

On the day of check-in, we will transfer the funds to the member.

Custom request

Our most popular option is to claim a Custom request. Visit our Listings page to claim a request made by an entire family and then reserve their vacation. Check if the reservation is more than 7 years away that you have the correct Home Resort.

Respond to the renter

Respond to the renter before the allotted time expires (1 one hour). Contact them if you are capable of fulfilling the request, or provide the number of points you’re able to reserve and the amount of dollars per point you’re willing to accept.
If you were unable to reserve a room or make an appropriate reservation then you can either communicate that to the renter, or let the timer run out on the claim.

Review and sign your agreement

Should you agree on the terms, you will be provided with instructions to review and electronically sign your agreement. It is important to note that the renter will make their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

The disbursement of funds

On the day of check-in we’ll give the funds to the member.

Transfer points

An easy option is to transfer a portion (or all) of your current usage year points to another member.

In your account page, click to create a listing, then select transfer points. Fill in the amount of points you are willing to transfer out. The members who are interested can submit offers.

Respond to Your Offer

We will contact you once we have received an offer. Your options:

I accept this offer.
Opt-out of the deal with an alternative price.
Accepting or Rejecting Offers: This is going to stop that process.

Check out and sign your agreement

If you accept the terms, then you’ll be given instructions on how to read and e-sign your agreement. It is important to note that the person who receives the money will submit their payment to DVC Rental Club.

Transfer of points

After confirmation of the funds received, funds will be transferred.

Disbursement of funds

On the day of check-in we’ll transfer the funds to the member.
