2. SUBMIT A OFFER: If you find an existing reservation that meets your requirements, submit your offer. The member will respond within 24 hours, and we aim to facilitate a rapid and successful negotiation process.

3. WAIT FOR THE MEMBER TO RESPOND: We will keep you informed at every stage of the member’s response, ensuring you can make informed decisions.

4. VIEW AND SIGN YOUR AGREEMENT: Once both parties reach an agreement on the terms, we will provide clear instructions for you to view and electronically sign your agreement. Our process is designed to be simple and secure, prioritizing your convenience and safety.

5. MAKE YOUR PAYMENT: After electronically signing the agreement, you’ll be directed to the payment page. Choose your preferred payment method and submit your payment effortlessly. How does the process work for members?

For members of the DVC Rental Club, there are three different ways to convert your unused points into cash. Here’s how it works:

Renting out an existing reservation

  • If you have a reservation that you won’t be able to use and there’s still time to cancel without penalties, you can choose to rent it out to another family.

  • Go to your profile page and select the option to create a new listing. Choose “Existing Reservation” as the listing type, and your offer will be displayed on the Listings page for potential renters to make an offer.

  • When you receive an offer, you have a limited amount of time to respond with one of three options: accept the offer, counter the offer with a different price, or decline the offer to end the process.

  • If you accept the offer, you will be provided with instructions on how to view and electronically sign the agreement. The renter’s payment will be handled by the DVC Rental Club.

  • On the day of check-in, the funds will be released to you.

Fulfilling a customer request

One of our most popular option is to claim a Custom Request. Visit our Listings page and claim a request made by a family and book their vacation. Make sure if the reservation is more than 7 months away, you own the correct Home Resort.

Respond to the renter

You can fulfill a customer request by browsing the Listings page, where families are looking to make travel arrangements.

Make sure you have the proper Home Resort ownership if the reservation is more than seven months out.

  • When you find a suitable request, you can accept it and proceed to plan the trip for the family.

Reply to the renter before the specified time (usually within one hour) and inform them if you were able to fulfill their request or what you can book, along with the price per point you are willing to accept.

  • If an agreement is reached, you will receive instructions to view and electronically sign the agreement. The renter will submit their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

  • On the day of check-in, the funds will be released to you.

Transfering points

  • You can transfer some or all of your current use-year points to another member.

  • Go to your profile page and click on “Create a listing.” Select the option to transfer points and specify the number of points you’re willing to transfer out.

  • Once your listing is populated with the details, interested members can submit their offers.

  • When you receive an offer, you have the option to accept the offer, counter with a different price, or decline the offer to end the process.

  • If an agreement is reached, you will receive instructions to view and electronically sign the agreement. The receiving member will submit their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

  • Once the confirmation of funds received is obtained, the points will be transferred accordingly.

  • On the day of check-in, the funds will be released to you.

Please note that the DVC Rental Club will securely hold your important information and keep you informed through real-time notifications regarding resort announcements, dining reservations, spa appointments, and other relevant updates. Funds will be held until the check-in day to cover any incidental charges or fees that may arise during the guest’s stay. The specific amount of funds held may vary based on the length of stay and room type.
