How the process is used for renters

1: SELECT THE TYPE OF RESERVATION YOU WANT TO MAKE

Choose from our available options, including Existing Reservations, where you can purchase a reservation from a member and enjoy potential price reductions.

2: SUBMIT YOUR OFFER

If you locate an existing booking that is suitable for your requirements, make a proposal, and the member will respond within 24 hours. Prepare for a speedy and effective negotiation!

3: WAIT FOR THE MEMBER TO REPLY

We’ll keep you updated throughout the process as the member replies by making sure you’re aware and can make informed decisions.

4: VIEW AND SIGN YOUR AGREEMENT

Once both parties have agreed on the terms of the agreement, you’ll receive specific instructions on how to read and e-sign your agreement. It’s a simple, secure process that takes an extra step toward a dream holiday.

5: MAKE YOUR PAYMENT

After e-signing your agreement after which you’ll be taken on the page for payment. Select the payment method you prefer and then submit your payment with ease. The dream trip you’ve always wanted is officially reserved!

6: DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS

On check-in day, we take care of release of the funds to the member. This is a smooth transition that assures that both parties are secure throughout the rental process.

What it does for members

We’ve got three options to convert your points that are not being used into cash:

View and sign your agreement

Rent your existing Reservation to a different family. If you have time to cancel with no penalties, this could be a great alternative. When you are on your personal page, select make a new listing. Then select an existing reservation. Your listing will be displayed on our Listings page, allowing potential tenants to submit an offer.

Wait for a renter to make you an offer

We will email when you receive an offer. There is a time limit of time to choose one of three options:

Accept the offer.
Counter the offer with an alternative price.
Declining The Offer stop that process.

Read and sign your agreement

If you decide to accept the terms, you will be provided with instructions to review and e-sign the agreement. Note, the renter will pay the DVC Rental Club.

Disbursement of Funds

On the day of check-in, we will release the funds to the member.

Custom request

Our most popular choice is to claim a Custom Request. Check out our Listings page to claim a request by families and plan their vacation. If the reservation is more than 7 months away you have the correct Home Resort.

Respond to the renter

Answer the renter’s request before the allotted time expires (1 hour). Let them know if you were successful in fulfilling the renter’s request, or include what you can book and the amount of dollars per point you’re willing to pay.

If you could not book a reservation or provide the required reservations or a suitable reservation, you may communicate this to the renter or let the timer expire the claim.

Review and sign your agreement

If you accept the terms, you will be provided with the instructions to read and e-sign the agreement. Note, the renter will submit their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

Disbursement of funds

On the day when check-in is completed, we release the funds to the member.

Transfer points

An easy solution is to transfer a portion or the entire amount of usage year points to another member.

On your profile page, select create a listing, select transfer points. Fill in the amount of points you are willing to transfer. Members who are interested will submit requests.

Respond to Your Offer

We will contact you once we have received an offer. Your options:

Accept the offer.
Counter the offer with another price.
Declining The Offer: This will conclude that process.

Check out and sign your agreement

If you are in agreement with the terms of your agreement, you will be provided with instructions to read and sign electronically your agreement. The member who is receiving the payment will pay the DVC Rental Club.

Transfer of points

Upon confirmation funds received and confirmed, points are transferred.

The disbursement of funds

On the day of check-in we’ll release the funds to the member.

Funds Held Until Check-In Day: As per the reservation policy, funds will be held until the check-in day to cover any incidental charges or fees that may arise during the guest’s stay. The amount of funds held may vary based on the length of stay and room type.
