How the process works for renters

1. SELECTION THE TYPE OF RESERVATION YOU WANT TO MAKE: Select one of our available options, such as Existing Reservations in which you can purchase a reservation through an existing member and benefit from potential price reductions.

2. SUBMIT A QUOTE: If you locate an existing reservation that matches the requirements of your group, then submit your proposal, and the member will contact you within 24 hours. Prepare for a speedy and efficient negotiation!

3. WAIT FOR THE MEMBER TO RESPOND: We’ll update you all the time as the participant responds to your questions, so you’re informed and can make educated choices.

4. VIEW AND SIGN YOUR AGREEMENT: Once both parties have agreed on the terms, you’ll be given clear instructions to view and electronically sign your agreement. It’s an easy and secure process that takes the first step towards your dream vacation.

5. MAKE YOUR PAYMENT: After you’ve e-signed your agreement, you’ll then be taken into the checkout page. Select your preferred payment method and make your payment ease. You can book your dream holiday now legally reserved!

6. DISBURSEMENT FUND: On check-in day, we take care of paying the member. This seamless process guarantees both parties are safe throughout the rental process.

How it works for members

There are three ways to transform your unused points into money

Submit and view your agreement

Rent your Existing Reservation to a different family. If you’re able to cancel with no penalties it could be a viable option. When you are on your personal page click the option to create a new listing and then select an existing reservation. Your listing will populate our Listings page, inviting potential renters to make an offer.

Wait for a renter to make you an offer

We will contact you when you have received an offer. You will be given a certain amount of time to answer with one of three options:

Accept the offer.
Make a counter offer with an alternative price.
Declining The Offer This will close the process.

Check out and sign your agreement

If you are in agreement with the terms, you will receive instructions to view and e-sign your agreement. The renter must submit their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

Disbursement of funds

On check-in day we will release the funds to the member.

Custom request

The most requested option is to claim a Custom request. Check out our Listings page and submit a request from an entire family and then make a reservation for their trip. If the reservation is more than 7 months from the date you own the right Home Resort.

Respond to the renter

Make contact with the renter before the time limit expires (1 1 hour). Communicate if you were successful in fulfilling their request, or give them what you can book and the amount of dollars per point you are willing to take.

If you were unable to reserve a room or make suitable reservations then you can either communicate that to the renter, or let the timer run out on the claim.

Read and sign your contract

If you decide to accept the terms, you’ll receive instructions to review and electronically sign your agreement. It is important to note that the renter will make their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

The disbursement of funds

On check-in day we will release the funds to the member.

Transfer points

A simple option is to transfer some, or the entire amount of point of use to another member.

The profile of your page, choose create a listing, select transfer points. Select the number of points you’re willing to transfer. Members who are interested will submit suggestions.

Respond to your offer

We will contact you once we have received an offer. There are three options available to you:

You must accept the invitation.
You can counter the offer by offering an alternative price.
Declining The Offer: This will conclude this procedure.

View and sign your contract

If you decide to accept the terms, you will receive instructions to read and sign electronically your agreement. The member who is receiving the payment will make their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

Transfer of points

Upon confirmation funds received after which points are transferred.

Payment of funds

On the day of check-in, we will release the funds to the member.
