What is the process is used for renters

1. SELECT THE TYPE OF RESERVATION YOU WANT TO MAKE: Choose from the available choices, which include Existing Reservations that allow you to purchase a booking from a member and enjoy potential price reductions.

2. SUBMIT YOUR OFFER: If you can find an existing reservation that meets your requirements, send your proposal, and the member will respond within 24hrs. Be prepared for a fast and efficient negotiation process!

3. WAIT FOR THE MEMBER TO RESPOND: We’ll keep you up to date each step of the way as the member responds to your questions, so you’re informed and make informed decisions.

4. VIEW AND SIGN YOUR AGREEMENT: After both parties have reached an agreement on the terms, you’ll receive detailed instructions on how to read and electronically sign your agreement. It’s a simple and secure process that gets an extra step toward a dream holiday.

5. MAKE YOUR PAYMENT: After e-signing your contract, you’ll be directed to the payment page. Choose the method of payment you prefer and then submit your payment with ease. The dream trip you’ve always wanted is fully booked!

6. DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS: On the day of check-in, we take care of release of the funds to the guest. It’s a smooth process that guarantees both parties are secure during the rental process.

How it works for members

We’ve got three methods to convert your points into money

Submit and view your agreement

Lease your existing Reservation to a different family. If you’re able to cancel your reservation with no penalty then this could be a great option. When you are on your personal page, choose to Create a new listing, select an existing reservation. Your listing will populate our Listings page for potential renters to submit an offer.

Wait for a renter to make you an offer

We will email when you have received an offer. There is a time limit of time to choose one of three choices:

I accept this offer.
You can counter the offer by offering a different price.
Declining The Offer This will end that process.

Check out and sign your agreement

Should you agree on the terms, you’ll be given instructions on how to read and electronically sign your agreement. It is important to note that the renter will make their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

Disbursement of funds

On the day when check-in is completed, we give the funds to the member.

Custom request

Our most used option is to claim a Custom Request. Go to our Listings page and claim a request made by the family member and make a reservation for their trip. If the reservation is more than 7 months away that you have the correct Home Resort.

Respond to the renter

Contact the renter prior to the time allotted to them expires (1 1 hour). Communicate if you were capable of fulfilling their request. You can also provide what you’re able book, and the dollar amount per point you’re willing to take.
If you are unable to book a reservation or provide an adequate reservation and you are unable to do so, you can inform that to the renter, or let the timer expire the claim.

Read and sign your contract

If you are in agreement with the terms, you’ll receive a set of instructions to read and sign electronically your agreement. The renter must pay the DVC Rental Club.

Payment of funds

On the day of check-in we’ll release the funds to the member.

Transfer points

One option is to transfer part or even all your current usage year points to another member.

In your account page, select make a listing and then transfer points. Fill in the amount of points you are willing to transfer out. The members who are interested can submit requests.

Respond to Your Offer

We will send you an email once you received an offer. Your options:

Accept the offer.
You can counter the offer by offering a different price.
Rejecting the Offer close the process.

Check out and sign your agreement

If you decide to accept the terms, then you’ll be given instructions on how to read and electronically sign your agreement. Be aware that the member who signed the agreement is required to pay the DVC Rental Club.

Transfer of points

Once funds are received the funds will be transferred.

The disbursement of funds

On the day of check-in, we will pay the member the money.
