1. SELECTION THE TYPE OF RESERVATION YOU WANT TO MAKE: Select one of our available choices, including existing Reservations, where you can buy a reservation directly from an existing member and benefit from potential price reductions.

2. SUBMIT YOUR OFFER: If you can find an existing reservation that fits your requirements, send your offer, and the member will reply within 24 hours. Prepare for a speedy and efficient negotiation!

3. WAIT FOR THE MEMBER TO RESPOND: We’ll keep you informed throughout the process as the member responds making sure you are informed and make educated decisions.

4. VIEW AND SIGN YOUR AGREEMENT: Once both parties have agreed on the terms of the agreement, you’ll receive detailed instructions to read and electronically sign your agreement. It’s a straightforward and safe process that will bring the first step towards that dream holiday.

5. MAKE YOUR PAYMENT: Once you’ve signed the agreement electronically after which you’ll be taken onto the pay page. Select your preferred payment method and pay with ease. You can book your dream holiday now fully booked!

6. DISBURSEMENT FUND: On check-in day, we take care of release of the funds to the renter. It’s a seamless transfer that assures that both parties are secure throughout the rental process.

How it works for members

There are three ways to convert your points that are not being used into cash

Submit and view your agreement

Rent your current Reservation to another family. If you are able to cancel your reservation with no penalty, this may be a great alternative. When you are on your personal page, select create a new listing, select Existing Reservation. Your listing will populate our Listings page, inviting potential renters to make an offer.

Wait for a renter to make you an offer

We will send you an email once you receive an offer. You will be given a certain amount of time to reply with one of three options:

You must accept the invitation.
Opt-out of the deal with a different price.
Declining The Offer end this process.

Check out and sign your agreement

If you are in agreement with the terms of your agreement, you will receive instructions to review and e-sign your agreement. Be aware that the renter must submit their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

On check-in day we will release the funds to the member.

Custom request

The most requested option is to claim a Custom-Request. Go to our Listings page to submit a request from an entire family and then plan their vacation. Make sure if the reservation is more than 7 months away and you are the owner of the Home Resort.

Respond to the renter

Make contact with the renter before the allotted time runs out (1 hour). Communicate if you were capable of fulfilling the request, or provide what you can book as well as the amount per point you’re willing to take.

If you weren’t able to make a reservation or offer an adequate reservation, you can communicate that to the renter or allow the timer to expire on the claim.

Review and sign your contract

Should you agree on the terms, you will be provided with instructions to review and electronically sign the agreement. Be aware that the renter must make their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

Disbursement of funds

On the day when check-in is completed, we give the funds to the member.

Transfer points

One option is to transfer a portion (or all) of your current usage year points to a different member.

Your profile’s page, click create a listing, select transfer points. Select the number of points you would like to transfer. Members who are interested will submit suggestions.

Respond to your offer

We will notify you when we have been notified of an offer. The options are:

You must accept the invitation.
Opt-out of the deal with an alternative price.
Declining The Offer stop the process.

Check out and sign your agreement

Should you agree on the terms, you’ll receive instructions to view and electronically sign your agreement. It is important to note that the person who receives the money is required to pay DVC Rental Club.

Transfer of points

Once funds are received and confirmed, points are transferred.

Payment of funds

On check-in day we will release the funds to the member.

Funds Held Until Check-In Day: As per the reservation policy, funds will be held until the check-in day to cover any incidental charges or fees that may arise during the guest’s stay. The amount of funds held may vary based on the length of stay and room type.
