The process functions for renters

1. SELECTION THE TYPE OF RESERVATION YOU WANT TO MAKE: Choose from the available options, such as Existing Reservations which allows you to buy a reservation directly from an existing member and benefit from potential price reductions.

2. SUBMIT A QUOTE: If you locate an existing booking that is suitable for your needs, submit your proposal and the owner will respond within 24 hours. Prepare yourself for a quick and effective negotiation!

3. WAIT FOR THE MEMBER TO RESPOND: We’ll update you throughout the process as the member responds to your questions, so you’re informed and can make informed decisions.

4. VIEW AND SIGN YOUR AGREEMENT: Once both parties have agreed on the terms, you’ll get clear instructions to view and e-sign the agreement. It’s an easy and safe process that will bring your one step closer that dream holiday.

5. MAKE YOUR PAYMENT: After you’ve e-signed your agreement, you’ll be redirected on the page for payment. Choose your preferred payment method and submit your payment with ease. The dream trip you’ve always wanted is now fully booked!

6. DISBURSEMENT FUND: On the day of check-in, we manage releasing the funds to the member. This is a smooth transition that makes sure that both parties are secured throughout the rental process.

How it works for members

We’ve got three options to convert your points that are not being used into money

View and sign your agreement

Rent your Existing Reservation to a different family. If you are able to cancel your reservation with no penalty, this may be a viable alternative. On your profile page, click Create a new listing, select existing reservation. Your listing will populate our Listings page, inviting potential renters to make an offer.

Wait for a renter to make you an offer

We will notify you by email when we have been offered a deal. You will be given a certain amount of time to answer with one of three options:

You must accept the invitation.
Make a counter offer with an alternative price.
Declining The Offer This will conclude the procedure.

Review and sign your agreement

Should you agree on the terms of your agreement, you will receive instructions to view and sign electronically your agreement. Note, the renter will send their payment to DVC Rental Club.

Disbursement of funds

On the day of check-in, we will release the funds to the member.

Custom request

Our most popular option is to claim a Custom-Request. Visit our Listings page and claim a request by the family member and reserve their vacation. Check if the reservation is more than 7 years away, you own the correct Home Resort.

Respond to the renter

Respond to the renter before the allotted time expires (1 one hour). Communicate if you were able to complete the request, or provide what you can book and the dollar amount per point you are willing to pay.

If you were unable to book a reservation or provide an appropriate reservation or a suitable reservation, you may communicate this to the renter or allow the timer to expire on the claim.

Check out and sign your contract

If you accept the terms, you’ll receive instructions to view and electronically sign your agreement. Note, the renter will make their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

Disbursement of funds

On check-in day we will pay the member the money.

Transfer points

An easy solution is to transfer some or all of your use year points to another member.

On your profile’s page create a listing, select transfer points. Enter the number of points you’d like to transfer. Interested members will submit suggestions.

Respond to your offer

We will send you an email once you have been offered a deal. The options are:

Accept the offer.
Counter the offer with an alternative price.
Declining The Offer conclude that process.

Read and sign your contract

If you decide to accept the terms, you will be given instructions on how to read and e-sign the agreement. Be aware that the member who signed the agreement will pay the DVC Rental Club.

Transfer of points

Once funds are received, funds will be transferred.

Disbursement of funds

On the day of check-in, we will release the funds to the member.
