How the process functions for renters

1. SELECTION THE TYPE OF RESERVATION YOU WANT TO MAKE: Select from our options, including Existing Reservations in which you can purchase a reservation through a member and enjoy potential price reductions.

2. SUBMIT A QUOTE: If you spot an existing reservation that fits your requirements, send your proposal and the owner will respond within 24hrs. Prepare for a speedy and effective negotiation process!

3. WAIT FOR THE MEMBER TO RESPOND: We’ll keep you updated every step of the way when the member responds to your questions, so you’re informed and can make informed decisions.

4. VIEW AND SIGN YOUR AGREEMENT: When both parties have agreed on the terms, you’ll get explicit instructions on how to review and electronically sign your agreement. It’s an easy and secure process that takes the first step towards a dream holiday.

5. MAKE YOUR PAYMENT: Once you’ve signed the agreement electronically after which you’ll be taken into the checkout page. Choose your preferred payment method and pay with ease. The dream trip you’ve always wanted is officially reserved!

6. DISBURSEMENT FUND: On check-in day, we take care of paying the member. This is a smooth transition that assures that both parties are secure during the rental process.

What it does for members

We’ve got three options to convert your points that are not being used into money

Review and sign your agreement

Lease your existing Reservation to a different family. If you are able to end your reservation without penalty then this could be a viable alternative. In your account page, choose to make a new listing. Then select existing reservation. Your listing will appear on our Listings page to allow potential renters to make you an offer.

Wait for a renter to make you an offer

We will contact you when you have been offered a deal. You will be given a certain amount of time to answer with one of three choices:

You must accept the invitation.
Counter the offer with a different price.
Rejecting the Offer will end that process.

Check out and sign your agreement

If you decide to accept the terms, you will receive instructions to review and sign electronically your agreement. It is important to note that the renter will send their payment to DVC Rental Club.

Disbursement of funds

On the day of check-in, we will pay the member the money.

Custom request

The most requested option is to claim a Custom request. Check out our Listings page to make a claim on a request submitted by families and plan their vacation. Be sure that if the booking is more than 7 months from the date that you have the correct Home Resort.

Respond to the renter

Answer the renter’s request before the time limit expires (1 hour). Inform them if you were successful in fulfilling their request, or with what you’re able to reserve and the amount of dollars per point you are willing to pay.

If you could not book a reservation or provide suitable reservations, you can communicate that to the renter, or let the timer run out on the claim.

Read and sign your contract

If you decide to accept the terms of your agreement, you will receive instructions to review and sign electronically your agreement. Note, the renter will pay the DVC Rental Club.

Disbursement of funds

On check-in day we will release the funds to the member.

Transfer points

One option is to transfer some (or all) of your current point of use to another member.

On your profile’s page, select to create a listing, and then select transfer points. Select the number of points you are willing to transfer out. Members who are interested will submit proposals.

Respond to your offer

We will send you an email once you are offered an offer. There are three options available to you:

I accept this offer.
Make a counter offer with a different price.
Declining The Offer: This will close the process.

View and sign your contract

Should you agree on the terms, you’ll receive instructions to view and electronically sign your agreement. Be aware that the member who signed the agreement is required to pay DVC Rental Club.

Transfer of points

When funds are confirmed the points will be transferred.

The disbursement of funds

On the day when check-in is completed, we give the funds to the member.

Funds Held Until Check-In Day: Following their reservation policy, funds will be held until the day of check-in to cover any incidental charges or fees that may arise during the guest’s stay. The amount of funds held may vary depending on the length of stay and type of room.

Guests can indulge in a wide range of amenities and activities, including breathtaking ocean views, multiple pools, and exhilarating water slides.
