How it work for DVC members

There are three methods to convert the points you have not used into dollars!

Review and sign your agreement

Rent your existing Reservation to a different family. If you are able to cancel your reservation without penalty it is a great alternative. Your profile’s page will allow you to choose to Create a new listing, choose Existing Reservation. Your listing will be added to our Listings page to allow prospective renters to submit an offer.

Wait for a renter to make you an offer

We will contact you when you’ve received an offer. You have a certain period of time to answer to the offer using one of three options:

• Take the deal.

• Opt-out of the deal with an alternative price.

• Rejecting the Offer will close that process.

Check out and sign your agreement

If you accept the terms of your agreement, you will be given instructions on how to read and electronically sign your agreement. Remember that the renter must make their payment to DVC Rental Club.

The disbursement of funds

On the day of check-in we’ll transfer the funds to the member.

Custom request

Our most requested options are to claim an individual request. Go to our Listings page to make a claim on a request submitted by an entire family and then reserve their vacation. Be sure that if the booking is longer than 7 months away and you are the owner of the Home Resort.

Respond to the renter

Contact the renter prior to the time limit expires (1 1 hour). Make sure you inform them that you were able fulfill their request, or to provide what you’re able to reserve and the amount of dollars per point you’re willing to pay.

If you weren’t able to reserve a room or make the reservation then you can either communicate that to the renter, or allow the timer to expire on the claim.

Check out and sign your agreement

If you accept the terms of your agreement, you will be given instructions on how to read and sign electronically your agreement. The renter must pay DVC Rental Club.

Distribution of funds

On the day of check-in we’ll transfer the funds to the member.

Transfer points

A simple alternative is to transfer some or even all your usage year points to a different member.

Your profile’s page is where you click the option to create a listing and select transfer points. Enter the number of points you’d like to transfer. The members who are interested can send proposals.

Respond to your offer

We’ll notify you when you’ve received an offer. You’ll then have three choices to reply:

• You must accept the invitation.

• You can counter the offer by offering an alternative price.

• Declining The Offer close this process.

Review and sign your agreement

If you accept the terms, you’ll be provided with instructions to review and electronically sign your agreement. The member who is receiving the payment will make their payment to DVC Rental Club.

Transfer of points

After confirmation of the funds received and confirmed, points are transferred.

Distribution of funds

On the day of check-in, we will transfer the funds to the member.
