The Process used for Renters

1: SELECT THE TYPE OF RESERVATION YOU WANT TO MAKE

Choose from the available options, which include Existing Reservations that allow you to purchase a reservation through members and receive price reductions.

2: SUBMIT THE OFFERS YOU ARE POSTING

If you locate an existing reservation that fits the requirements of your group, then submit your proposal, and the member will reply within 24 hours. Prepare yourself for a quick and efficient negotiation!

3: WATCH FOR THE MEMEBER TO REPLY

We’ll update you every step of the way as the participant responds to your questions, so you’re informed and can make informed decisions.

4: VIEW AND AGREE TO YOUR AGREEMENT

Once both parties have agreed on the terms of the agreement, you’ll receive clear instructions to view and e-sign your agreement. It’s an easy and safe process that will bring you one step closer to a dream holiday.

5: MAKE YOUR PAYMENT

After e-signing your agreement, you’ll be directed to the payment page. Select your preferred payment method and then submit your payment with ease. It’s your time to dream about vacation now officially reserved!

6: DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS

On check-in day, we take care of giving the money to the guest. This seamless process assures that both parties are secure throughout the rental process.

How does it Work for Members

There are three ways you can convert your points that are not being used into cash:

Review and sign your agreement

Lease your current Reservation to another family. If you are able to end your reservation without penalty it could be a great option. When you are on your personal page click, Create a new listing, choose Existing Reservation. Your listing will be added to our Listings page for prospective renters to submit an offer.

Wait For A Renter To Make You An Offer

We will contact you when you have been offered a deal. You will have a short amount of time to answer with one of three options:

Take the deal
You can counter the offer by offering an alternative price.
Declining The Offer conclude the process.

Review and Sign your Agreement

Should you agree on the terms, you’ll be given the instructions to read and e-sign the agreement. Be aware that the renter will pay the DVC Rental Club.

The Distribution of Funds

On the day of check-in we’ll transfer the funds to the member.

CUSTOM REQUEST

Our most sought-after option is to claim a Custom-Request. Visit our Listings page and claim a request by the family member and book their vacation. Make sure if the reservation is longer than 7 months away that you have the correct Home Resort.

Respond to the Renter

Respond to the renter before the allotted time runs out (1 1 hour). Inform them if you were able to complete their request, or with what you can book and the amount of dollars per point you are willing to accept.

If you are unable to book a reservation, or to make a valid reservation then you can either communicate that to the renter, or allow the timer to expire for the claim.

Check out and Sign your Agreement

If you decide to accept the terms, you will receive instructions to view and e-sign the agreement. Note, the renter will submit their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

Distribution of Funds

On check-in day we will release the funds to the member.

TRANSFER POINTS

A simple option is to transfer some or all of your point of use to another member.

The profile of your page, choose create a listing, select transfer points. Select the number of points you would like to transfer out. Interested members will submit offers.

Respond to Your Offer

We will contact you once we are offered a price. You have a choice:

You must accept the invitation.
Counter the offer with an alternative price.
Rejecting the Offer end the process.

Check out and sign your contract

If you are in agreement with the terms of your agreement, you will be given instructions on how to read and electronically sign your agreement. Be aware that the member who signed the agreement is required to pay the DVC Rental Club.

Transfer of Points

Once funds are received, points are transferred.

Disbursement of Funds

On check-in day we will transfer the funds to the member.

Funds Held Until Check-In Day: As per the reservation policy, funds will be held until the check-in day to cover any incidental charges or fees that may arise during the guest’s stay. The amount of funds held may vary based on the length of stay and room type.
