What is the process is used for renters

1. SELECTION THE TYPE OF RESERVATION YOU WANT TO MAKE: Select from our options, which include Existing Reservations that allow you to purchase a reservation from a member and enjoy potential price reductions.

2. SUBMIT YOUR OFFER: If you locate an existing reservation that fits your needs, make an proposal and the owner will respond within 24 hours. Get ready for a swift and efficient negotiation!

3. LET THE MEMBER TO RESPOND: We’ll keep you informed every step of the way as the participant responds, ensuring you stay informed and can make informed decisions.

4. VIEW AND SIGN YOUR AGREEMENT: When both parties have reached agreement on the terms, you’ll get explicit instructions on how to review and e-sign the agreement. It’s a simple and secure process that takes the first step towards a dream vacation.

5. MAKE YOUR PAYMENT: After you’ve signed your agreement electronically after which you’ll be taken onto the pay page. Choose the method of payment you prefer and make your payment ease. Your dream vacation is officially reserved!

6. DISBURSEMENT FUND: On the day of check-in, we take care of giving the money to the guest. This is a smooth transition that ensures both parties are protected during the rental process.

How it works for members

There are three ways you can transform your unused points into money

Review and sign your agreement

Rent your existing Reservation to another family. If you are able to cancel without penalty, this may be a great option. Your profile, click the option to create a new listing and then select existing reservation. Your listing will populate our Listings page to allow potential renters to make an offer.

Wait for a renter to make you an offer

We will contact you when you receive an offer. You have a limited amount of time to choose one of three options:

I accept this offer.
Opt-out of the deal with a different price.
Rejecting the Offer will conclude the process.

Review and sign your agreement

If you accept the terms, you will receive instructions to view and electronically sign your agreement. It is important to note that the renter will make their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

Disbursement of funds

On the day of check-in, we will release the funds to the member.

Custom request

The most requested option is to make a Custom Request. Go to our Listings page and claim a request by a family and reserve their vacation. If the reservation is more than 7 years away and you are the owner of the Home Resort.

Respond to the renter

Answer the renter’s request before the allotted time ends (1 1 hour). Inform them if you were able to complete their request, or with the amount you are able to book as well as the amount per point you are willing to accept.

If you weren’t able to make reservations or book the required reservations, you can communicate that to the renter or let the timer run out on the claim.

Check out and sign your contract

If you are in agreement with the terms, you will be given instructions on how to read and electronically sign your agreement. The renter must submit their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

Payment of funds

On the day of check-in we’ll give the funds to the member.

Transfer points

An easy option is to transfer some (or all) of your use-year points to another member.

On your profile’s page create a listing, select transfer points. Fill in the amount of points you are willing to transfer out. The members who are interested can submit suggestions.

Respond to your offer

We will send you an email once you are offered an offer. The options are:

Take the deal.
Opt-out of the deal with an alternative price.
Rejecting the Offer conclude this process.

Read and sign your contract

If you are in agreement with the terms, you will receive instructions to read and e-sign the agreement. Note, the receiving member will submit their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

Transfer of points

Once funds are received and confirmed, funds will be transferred.

Payment of funds

On the day of check-in, we will transfer the funds to the member.

Funds Held Until Check-In Day: Following their reservation policy, funds will be held until the day of check-in to cover any incidental charges or fees that may arise during the guest’s stay. The amount of funds held may vary depending on the length of stay and type of room.
