How the process works for renters

1. SELECT THE TYPE OF RESERVATION YOU WANT TO MAKE: Select from our options, including Existing Reservations which allows you to buy a reservation directly from a member and enjoy potential price reductions.

2. SUBMIT YOUR OFFER: If you find an existing reservation that fits your needs, submit your offer, and the member will respond within 24 hours. Get ready for a swift and efficient negotiation process!

3. WAIT FOR THE MEMBER TO RESPOND: We’ll keep you updated every step of the way as the member responds, ensuring you stay informed and can make informed decisions.

4. VIEW AND SIGN YOUR AGREEMENT: Once both parties have agreed on the terms, you’ll receive clear instructions to view and e-sign your agreement. It’s a simple and secure process that gets you one step closer to your magical vacation.

5. MAKE YOUR PAYMENT: After e-signing your agreement, you’ll be directed to the payment page. Choose your preferred payment method and submit your payment with ease. Your dream vacation is now officially reserved!

6. DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS: On check-in day, we take care of releasing the funds to the member. It’s a seamless transition that ensures both parties are protected throughout the rental process.

How does it work for members

We’ve got three options to transform your unused points into cash

Review and sign your agreement

Lease your current Reservation to a different family. If you’ve got time to cancel with no penalties then this could be a good alternative. When you are on your personal page click make a new listing. Then select Existing Reservation. Your listing will be added to our Listings page to allow potential renters who will make an offer.

Wait for a renter to make you an offer

We will email when you’ve received an offer. You have a limited amount of time to choose one of three choices:

I accept this offer.
You can counter the offer by offering an alternative price.
Rejecting the Offer will stop that process.

Review and sign your agreement

If you are in agreement with the terms, you’ll receive instructions to review and e-sign the agreement. The renter must make their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

Disbursement of funds

On the day of check-in we’ll pay the member the money.

Custom request

Our most popular option is to claim a Custom Request. Visit our Listings page to make a claim on a request submitted by a family and make a reservation for their trip. Be sure that if the booking is more than 7 months away, you own the correct Home Resort.

Respond to the renter

Make contact with the renter before the allotted time expires (1 hour). Inform them if you were capable of fulfilling their request, or give them what you can book and the dollar amount per point you are willing to pay.
If you could not make a reservation or offer an appropriate reservation then you can either communicate this to the renter or allow the timer to expire on the claim.

Check out and sign your agreement

If you are in agreement with the terms of your agreement, you will receive instructions to view and electronically sign your agreement. Note, the renter will pay the DVC Rental Club.

This disbursement of funds

On check-in day we will pay the member the money.

Transfer points

A simple option is to transfer some, or the entire amount of current use-year points to a different member.

On your profile page, choose make a listing and then transfer points. Select the number of points you are willing to transfer. Interested members will submit offers.

Respond to Your Offer

We will email when you have received an offer. Your options:

I accept this offer.
Make a counter offer with an alternative price.
Rejecting the Offer conclude that process.

View and sign your agreement

If you accept the terms, you’ll be provided with instructions on how to read and electronically sign your agreement. It is important to note that the person who receives the money will pay DVC Rental Club.

Transfer of points

When funds are confirmed and confirmed, points will be transferred.

The disbursement of funds

On the day of check-in, we will release the funds to the member.
