How the process is used for renters

1: CHOOSE THE TYPE OF RESERVATION YOU WANT TO MAKE

Select from our options, such as Existing Reservations which allows you to buy a reservation directly from members and receive price reductions.

2: SUBMIT YOUR OFFER

If you find an existing booking that is suitable for your requirements, make a proposal, and the member will contact you within 24 hours. Prepare for a speedy and efficient negotiation!

3: AWAKE FOR THE MEMBER TO RESPOND

We’ll keep you updated all the time when the member responds making sure you are informed and can make informed decisions.

4: REVIEW AND SEIGN YOUR AGREEMENT

Once both parties have agreed on the terms, you’ll get explicit instructions on how to review and e-sign your contract. It’s a straightforward and safe process that will bring an extra step toward your magical vacation.

5: MAKE YOUR PAYMENT

Once you’ve e-signed your agreement, you’ll then be taken into the checkout page. Choose your preferred payment method and make your payment ease. It’s your time to dream about vacation now officially reserved!

6: DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS

On check-in day, we take care of releasing the funds to the tenant. This is a smooth transition that ensures both parties are protected during the rental process.

How it does for members

We have three ways to transform your unused points into cash:

View and sign your agreement

Rent your existing Reservation to another family. If you are able to cancel your reservation with no penalty it could be an option. On your profile page, click make a new listing. Then select existing reservation. Your listing will appear on our Listings page, allowing potential renters who will make an offer.

Wait for a renter to make you an offer

We will send you an email once you have received an offer. You have a certain amount of time to respond with one of three options:

You must accept the invitation.
Counter the offer with a different price.
Declining The Offer This will close that process.

View and sign your agreement

If you decide to accept the terms, you will be given instructions on how to read and e-sign your agreement. The renter must submit their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

Payment of Funds

On check-in day we will release the funds to the member.

Custom request

Our most popular choice is to make a Custom Request. Visit our Listings page and make a claim on a request submitted by a family and make a reservation for their trip. Check if the reservation is longer than 7 months away and you are the owner of the Home Resort.

Respond to the renter

Make contact with the renter before the time limit ends (1 1 hour). Inform them if you were successful in fulfilling the request, or provide the amount you are able to book and the price per point you’re willing to accept.

If you could not book a reservation, or to make the required reservations then you can either communicate that to the renter, or allow the timer to expire for the claim.

View and sign your agreement

Should you agree on the terms, you will receive instructions to view and electronically sign your agreement. Note, the renter will make their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

Disbursement of funds

On the day of check-in, we will give the funds to the member.

Transfer points

A simple option is to transfer some or all of your current point of use to another member. The profile of your page makes a listing and then transfer points. Fill in the amount of points you would like to transfer out. Members who are interested will submit proposals.

Respond to Your Offer

We will notify you when we have been offered an offer. You have a choice:

Take the deal.
Make a counter offer with an alternative price.
Rejecting the Offer stop the process.

View out and sign your agreement

Should you agree on the terms, you will be provided with instructions to read and e-sign your agreement. It is important to note that the person who receives the money will pay the DVC Rental Club.

Transfer of points

After confirmation of the funds received and confirmed, funds will be transferred.

The disbursement of funds

On the day when check-in is completed, we give the funds to the member.

Funds Held Until Check-In Day: As part of their reservation policy, funds will be held until the check-in day to cover any incidental charges or fees that may arise during the guest’s stay. The amount of funds held may vary based on the length of stay and room type.
