What is the Process Works for Renters

1: CHOOSE THE TYPE OF RESERVATION YOU WANT TO MAKE

Choose from the available options, which include Existing Reservations, where you can purchase a reservation from members and take advantage of price reductions.

2: SUBMIT A QUOTE

If you spot an existing booking that is suitable for your requirements, make a proposal, and the member will reply within 24hrs. Be prepared for a fast and efficient negotiation process!

3: LET IT GO FOR THE MEMBER TO RESPOND

We’ll keep you updated all the time as the member replies, ensuring you stay informed and are able to make informed choices.

4: VIEW AND AGREE TO YOUR AGREEMENT

After both parties have reached an agreement on the terms of the agreement, you’ll receive clear instructions to view and e-sign the agreement. It’s an easy and secure process that takes the first step towards a dream holiday.

5: MAKE YOUR PAYMENT

After you’ve signed your agreement electronically, you’ll be redirected onto the pay page. Select the payment method you prefer and pay with ease. It’s your time to dream about vacation now fully booked!

6: DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS

On the day of check-in on the day of check-in, we handle release of the funds to the member. It’s a seamless transfer that ensures both parties are protected throughout the rental process.

How does it Work for Members

There are three ways to convert your points that are not being used into money:

Review and sign your agreement

Lease your current Reservation to a different family. If you’re in a position to cancel without penalty, this could be a viable alternative. In your account page, choose to make a new listing. Then choose Existing Reservation. Your listing will be displayed on our Listings page for potential renters who will make an offer.

Wait For A Renter To Make You An Offer

We will notify you by email when we receive an offer. You have a certain amount of time to respond with one of three options:

I accept this offer.
Make a counter offer with a different price
Accepting or Declining the Offer. This is going to end that process.

View and Sign your Agreement

If you decide to accept the terms, you will be given instructions on how to read and electronically sign your agreement. Be aware that the renter will pay the DVC Rental Club.

Distribution of Funds

On check-in day we will release the funds to the member.

CUSTOM REQUEST

Our most popular choice is to claim a Custom Request. Go to our Listings page to make a claim on a request submitted by an entire family and then plan their vacation. Make sure if the reservation is more than 7 years away that you have the correct Home Resort.

Respond to the Renter

Contact the renter prior to the allotted time expires (1 hour). Inform them if you were successful in fulfilling the request, or provide the amount you are able to book and the dollar amount per point you are willing to pay.

If you weren’t able to reserve a room or make a valid reservation, you can communicate that to the renter, or allow the timer to expire on the claim.

View and Sign your Agreement

Should you agree on the terms, you’ll be provided with the instructions to read and e-sign your agreement. Be aware that the renter will submit their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

Distribution of Funds

On the day of check-in, we’ll release the funds to the member.

TRANSFER POINTS

An easy option is to transfer some or all of your current usage year points to another member.

In your account page to create a listing, then select transfer points. Fill in the amount of points you’d like to transfer. Interested members will submit offers.

Respond to Your Offer

We will email when you have been offered a deal. Your options:

Accept the offer.
Make a counter offer with a different price.
Rejecting the Offer stop the procedure.

Read and sign your contract

If you are in agreement with the terms of your agreement, you will be provided with instructions to read and electronically sign your agreement. Note, the receiving member is required to pay DVC Rental Club.

Transfer of Points

After confirmation of the funds received after which points are transferred.

Payment of Funds

On the day of check-in, we’ll transfer the funds to the member.

Funds Held Until Check-In Day: As part of their reservation policy, funds will be held until the check-in day to cover any incidental charges or fees that may arise during the guest’s stay. The amount of funds held may vary based on the length of stay and room type.
