How the process work for renters

1. SELECT THE TYPE OF RESERVATION YOU WANT TO MAKE: Choose from our available options, including Existing Reservations in which you can buy a reservation directly from an existing member and benefit from potential price reductions.

2. SUBMIT THE OFFERS YOU ARE POSTING: If you locate an existing reservation that matches the requirements of your group, then submit your request, and the participant will respond within 24hrs. Prepare yourself for a quick and effective negotiation!

3. WAIT FOR THE MEMBER TO RESPOND: We’ll keep you up to date throughout the process when the member responds to your questions, so you’re informed and are able to make informed choices.

4. VIEW AND SIGN YOUR AGREEMENT: Once both parties have agreed on the terms, you’ll get specific instructions on how to read and e-sign your agreement. It’s a simple and safe process that will bring you one step closer to a magical holiday.

5. MAKE YOUR PAYMENT: After e-signing your agreement after which you’ll be redirected onto the pay page. Select the payment method you prefer and submit your payment with ease. It’s your time to dream about vacation legally reserved!

6. DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS: On the day of check-in on the day of check-in, we handle paying the renter. It’s a seamless transition that makes sure that both parties are secured during the rental process.

What it does for members

We’ve got three options to convert your points into money:

Submit and view your agreement

Rent your current Reservation to another family. If you are able to end your reservation without penalty it could be a good alternative. Your profile, click the option to create a new listing and then select an existing reservation. Your listing will be added to our Listings page, allowing potential renters to make you an offer.

Wait for a renter to make you an offer

We will contact you when you have been offered a deal. There is a time limit of time to reply with one of three choices:

Accept the offer.
Counter the offer with a different price.
Declining The Offer close that process.

View and sign your agreement

Should you agree on the terms, you will receive instructions to review and sign electronically your agreement. Be aware that the renter will make their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

Disbursement of funds

On the day of check-in, we will release the funds to the member.

Custom request

Our most popular option is to claim a Custom request. Visit our Listings page and make a claim on a request submitted by a family and make a reservation for their trip. If the reservation is longer than 7 months away that you have the correct Home Resort.

Respond to the renter

Contact the renter prior to the time limit expires (1 hours). Inform them if you were capable of fulfilling their request, or inform them of what you’re able book, and the amount of dollars per point you are willing to pay.
If you are unable to reserve a room or make the required reservations and you are unable to do so, you may inform that to the renter or let the timer run out on the claim.

Read and sign your agreement

If you are in agreement with the terms of your agreement, you will be given the instructions to read and electronically sign your agreement. Note, the renter will send their payment to DVC Rental Club.

Payment of funds

On the day that check-in is completed, we transfer the funds to the member.

Transfer points

A simple option is to transfer part of or your use-year points to a different member.

Your profile’s page, click the option to create a listing. Select transfer points. Fill in the amount of points you would like to transfer. Participants who are interested in submitting offers.

Respond to Your Offer

We will contact you once we have received an offer. Your options:

Accept the offer.
Opt-out of the deal with an alternative price.
Rejecting the Offer end this process.

View and sign your agreement

If you decide to accept the terms of your agreement, you will receive instructions to review and electronically sign the agreement. The member who is receiving the payment will make their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

Transfer of points

Upon confirmation funds received, funds will be transferred.

Payment of funds

On the day of check-in, we will transfer the funds to the member.

Funds Held Until Check-In Day: As per the reservation policy, funds will be held until the check-in day to cover any incidental charges or fees that may arise during the guest’s stay. The amount of funds held may vary based on the length of stay and room type.
