What is the process functions for renters

1. SELECT THE TYPE OF RESERVATION YOU WANT TO MAKE: Choose from the available choices, which include Existing Reservations that allow you to purchase a booking from an existing member and take advantage of price reductions.

2. SUBMIT YOUR OFFER: If you locate an existing reservation that fits your needs, make an request, and the participant will contact you within 24 hours. Get ready for a swift and efficient negotiation!

3. WAIT FOR THE MEMBER TO RESPOND: We’ll update you each step of the way as the participant responds, ensuring you stay informed and can make informed decisions.

4. VIEW AND SIGN YOUR AGREEMENT: When both parties have agreed on the terms, you’ll get detailed instructions on how to read and electronically sign the agreement. It’s an easy and secure process that gets an extra step toward your dream vacation.

5. MAKE YOUR PAYMENT: After e-signing your contract You’ll then be taken into the checkout page. Select your preferred payment method and make your payment ease. The dream trip you’ve always wanted is now fully booked!

6. DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS: On check-in day on the day of check-in, we handle paying the renter. It’s a smooth process that guarantees the security of both parties during the rental process.

How it works for members

We’ve got three options to turn your unused points into cash

Submit and view your agreement

Rent your current Reservation to another family. If you’re able to end your reservation without penalty, this could be a great option. In your account page, click create a new listing, select Existing Reservation. Your listing will be displayed on our Listings page for potential renters who will make an offer.

Wait for a renter to make you an offer

We will contact you when you receive an offer. There is a time limit of time to choose one of three options:

I accept this offer.
You can counter the offer by offering a different price.
Declining The Offer stop that process.

View and sign your agreement

If you accept the terms, you’ll receive instructions to view and sign electronically your agreement. Be aware that the renter must make their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

The disbursement of funds

On the day when check-in is completed, we transfer the funds to the member.

Custom request

Our most used option is to claim a Custom Request. Check out our Listings page and make a claim on a request submitted by families and then plan their vacation. If the reservation is longer than 7 months away and you are the owner of the Home Resort.

Respond to the renter

Respond to the renter before the time limit expires (1 1 hour). Contact them if you are able to fulfill their request. You can also provide the amount you are able to book and the amount of dollars per point you are willing to accept.
If you could not make a reservation or offer an adequate reservation and you are unable to do so, you can inform that to the renter, or allow the timer to expire on the claim.

Review and sign your agreement

If you accept the terms, you’ll receive a set of instructions to read and e-sign your agreement. The renter must send their payment to DVC Rental Club.

Payment of funds

On check-in day we will release the funds to the member.

Transfer points

An easy solution is to transfer a portion or even all your use year points to another member.

The profile of your page, click to create a listing, then selects transfer points. Populate with the number of points you’d like to transfer out. The members who are interested can submit offers.

Respond to Your Offer

We will contact you once we have received an offer. You have a choice:

I accept this offer.
Counter the offer with a different price.
Accepting or Rejecting Offers: This is going to end the process.

Review and sign your agreement

Should you agree on the terms of your agreement, you will receive instructions to view and e-sign the agreement. The member who is receiving the payment will submit their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

Transfer of points

After confirmation of the funds received and confirmed, funds will be transferred.

Disbursement of funds

On check-in day we will give the funds to the member.

Funds Held Until Check-In Day: As per the reservation policy, funds will be held until the check-in day to cover any incidental charges or fees that may arise during the guest’s stay. The amount of funds held may vary based on the length of stay and room type.
