How the process functions for renters

1. SELECTION THE TYPE OF RESERVATION YOU WANT TO MAKE: Choose from the available options, including Existing Reservations, where you can purchase a reservation from an existing member and benefit from potential price reductions.

2. SUBMIT YOUR OFFER: If you can find an existing reservation that matches the requirements of your group, then submit your offer, and the member will reply within 24 hours. Get ready for a swift and efficient negotiation process!

3. WAIT FOR THE MEMBER TO RESPOND: We’ll keep you up to date every step of the way as the member responds making sure you are informed and are able to make informed choices.

4. VIEW AND SIGN YOUR AGREEMENT: When both parties have agreed on the terms, you’ll receive explicit instructions on how to review and e-sign your agreement. It’s a straightforward and secure process that gets your one step closer your dream vacation.

5. MAKE YOUR PAYMENT: After e-signing your agreement after which you’ll be taken onto the pay page. Select your preferred payment method and then submit your payment with ease. You can book your dream holiday fully booked!

6. DISBURSEMENT FUND: On the day of check-in, we take care of giving the money to the member. It’s a seamless transfer that makes sure that both parties are secured during the rental process.

How it works for members

We have three ways to turn your unused points into cash

View and sign your agreement

Lease your existing Reservation to a different family. If you have time to cancel with no penalties This could be a good option. On your profile page click create a new listing, choose Existing Reservation. Your listing will populate our Listings page for potential renters to make you an offer.

Wait for a renter to make you an offer

We will notify you by email when we received an offer. There is a time limit of time to reply with one of three options:

You must accept the invitation.
Opt-out of the deal with an alternative price.
Declining The Offer stop the process.

Review and sign your agreement

If you decide to accept the terms of your agreement, you will be provided with instructions on how to review and e-sign your agreement. It is important to note that the renter will send their payment to DVC Rental Club.

The disbursement of funds

On the day of check-in, we will give the funds to the member.

Custom request

Our most popular choice is to claim a Custom Request. Check out our Listings page to claim a request made by an entire family and then reserve their vacation. Make sure if the reservation is longer than 7 months away that you have the correct Home Resort.

Respond to the renter

Contact the renter prior to the allotted time ends (1 one hour). Contact them if you are able to complete the renter’s request, or include the number of points you’re able book, and the price per point you are willing to take.

If you could not reserve a room or make an adequate reservation and you are unable to do so, you can inform that to the renter or let the timer run out on the claim.

Review and sign your contract

If you accept the terms, you’ll receive instructions to review and sign electronically your agreement. Be aware that the renter must submit their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

The disbursement of funds

On the day of check-in we’ll give the funds to the member.

Transfer points

An easy solution is to transfer a portion or the entire amount of use-year points to another member.

On your profile page create a listing, select transfer points. Enter the number of points you would like to transfer. Interested members will submit offers.

Respond to your offer

We will send you an email once you are offered an offer. The options are:

You must accept the invitation.
Opt-out of the deal with an alternative price.
Declining The Offer: This will close that process.

View and sign your agreement

Should you agree on the terms of your agreement, you will receive instructions to view and e-sign your agreement. It is important to note that the person who receives the money will make their payment to DVC Rental Club.

Transfer of points

Once funds are received the points will be transferred.

Disbursement of funds

On check-in day we will pay the member the money.
